Upgrading from Office Accounting Express to Office Accounting Professional

When you need more features or multi-user access, you can easily upgrade from Office Accounting Express to Office Accounting Professional. You don’t even need to install any software or upgrade your data. In the following we will take you through the process of upgrading to Office Accounting Professional.

In order to be able to upgrade from Office Accounting Express to Office Accounting Professional, you must have activated and registered Office Accounting.

To activate and register Office Accounting Express, select Activate and Register Product in the Help menu.

Follow the steps in the wizard and register the software.

To upgrade to Office Accounting Professional, you don’t have to install new software, however you have to obtain an Office Accounting Professional product key. You can either get a product key by purchasing the retail version of Office Accounting Professional where you usually purchase your product or by purchasing a new product key directly from Microsoft at www.msofficeaccounting.co.uk.

Once you have obtained a new product key, you can start the upgrade process.

1. Click Upgrade to Professional on the Help menu.

2. This will open up the upgrade wizard.

3. Enter the product key and click Next.

4. Select I accept the terms of this license agreement and click next.

5. If you are connected to the internet, select to activate over the internet otherwise select to activate by telephone. Click Next.

6. Provide registration information. If you have already registered Office Accounting Express, the wizard will show the previously entered information. Edit the information, select your contact preferences and click Send.

7. Office Accounting will now send your activation information to Microsoft. This may take a minute or so.

8. Click Close after the information has been sent.

9. Office Accounting Express will need to close before Office Accounting Professional can be started. Click OK.

10. Your software is now upgraded to Office Accounting Professional.
